Event Preview
The eighth event on the LIV Golf schedule will see the action move back to the United States across the coming weekend. For the first time, there will be a competition held at Robert Trent Jones Golf Club, which will see the field cover a total yardage of 7,425.
While it is the first time that the Virginia course has played host to an event on the LIV schedule, it has hosted illustrious events previously. Among those are the Solheim Cup in 2024 and four editions of the Presidents Cup.

Bryson DeChambeu will be a popular selection this weekend, as he brings excellent recent form to Virginia. The American landed the last LIV Golf event in Korea, and also excelled at the PGA Championship last month. A victory this weekend could see him move to the top of the standings.
Top spot in the rankings is currently held by Joaquin Niemann. The Chilean player has already won three events this season, with the latest of those coming in the Mexico City competition at the end of April.
Jon Rahm is also among the players in contention for top spot in the standings. However, the Spanish player will need to bounce back to form after finishing only in a tie for seventh in Korea last month. Cameron Smith could be playing his way into form after finishing in the same position in the previous event.
LIV Golf Virginia Picks
A competitive event on the LIV Golf schedule is set for this weekend, and therefore, there are plenty of likely contenders. However, Patrick Reed could make a lot of appeal at the odds. The American excelled at The Masters after finishing in a tie for third, while his good form has carried back onto the tour after finishing in a tie for fourth in the previous event.
