Last night, Luka Doncic scored 39 points against the Cleveland Cavaliers. We thought he was going to do much worse than that. In fact, we predicted that he was gonna go under 36.5 points, but he proved us wrong.
The reason why we thought that isnât that weâre Luka Doncic haters; itâs that there were some reports that heâs struggling with fitness. Plus, it was his second game in the space of 24 hours. And on top of all that, his team was playing against a team thatâs very decent defensively.
Well, all of that is true for tonightâs Mavericks vs. Timberwolves game. Actually, Minnesota has the best defense in the league, conceding just 107.3 points per game. The Timberwolves are even better defensively when it comes to playing at home. Theyâre allowing just 101.1 PPG at Target Center.
