Game Preview
The Knicks seized Game 5 with command and fury, not allowing the Pacers to have the slightest chance of winning in the Big Apple. Those 15 turnovers didn’t have too much effect because NYK forced 20 lost possessions on the other end.
Jalen Brunson had 32 points, shooting 12-for-18 from the field. Karl-Anthony Towns added another double-double with 24 points and 13 boards. Josh Hart had one as well, 12 points and 10 rebounds.
The Pacers didn’t show up in New York. They had only three players with double-digit points. Bennedict Mathurin scored 23 off the bench with nine rebounds, Siakam had 15, and Obi Toppin 11.
Meanwhile, Tyrese Haliburton shut down, having only 8 points with six assists and two boards. Myles Turner also had a terrible night with 5 points and two rebounds.
