Preview
Colorado is preparing for their 4th straight game against a ranked team here. They picked up wins against #6 USC and #8 Stanford, but came up short against #5 UCLA. Up next is #25 Oregon State, who likely would have been the easiest test of the four had it not come on the road. The Buffaloes will aim to continue their stellar season with a win here. A 1-seed is not out of the question if they maintain this play.
Oregon State has been a big surprise in the Pac-12 this season. After going just 13-18 last year, they’ve already sured their previous win total. The Beavers 15-3 record is impressive, but they still have work to do to make the tournament. All 15 of their wins came against unranked teams, while their losses were against top-tier teams. That being said, they played those games close, needing just an offensive boost.
Prediction
This game will be a great test of Oregon State’s ability against ranked teams. The only three they’ve faced so far were all ranked in the top-10 and came on the road, making it difficult for the Beavers to win. This time around, they’ll be at home against the surging Buffaloes. I expect them to keep it very close like they did at USC, but ultimately come up short against a Colorado team that is among one of the best this year.
NCAAW Picks:
- Colorado 66, Oregon State 61 ()
