- UConn picked up their 14th straight win in an 81-53 victory over Marquette.
- Creighton dominated Butler on Saturday, defeating them 79-57 on the road.
- These two teams last faced off on January 17, in a game that UConn won 62-48.
Selection Sunday is just a month away! Let’s look at the Big East clash between the UConn Huskies and the Creighton Bluejays. UConn has a key chance to clinch the Big East’s top spot this week.
How to Watch

Preview
UConn continues to obliterate the competition. They blew the brakes off of #4 Marquette, defeating them by 28 points. After rising back to the unanimous top spot in the country, the Huskies are looking more and more like a legitimate candidate to repeat as NCAA Champions. They have the nation’s 3rd-ranked offense and 11th-ranked defense, making UConn a well-rounded and dangerous matchup for any team they face.
Creighton rose back into the top-15 this week, and remains projected to receive a 4-seed in the NCAA Tournament. The Bluejays were unable to topple UConn on the road earlier in the season, but will have a much more realistic shot at home. In order to pull off the upset, they’ll need Seniors Baylor Scheierman and Ryan Kalkbrenner to continue dominating in the paint. Creighton’s offense can keep up with the Huskies.
Prediction
This should be a closer game than when these two teams last faced off on UConn’s home court. The Bluejays should make things challenging for the #1 Huskies on their own home court this time around, but still face a tough task against a scorching hot team. UConn will be aiming to keep defying the odds with another road win as they close in on clinching the Big East’s top spot. I like the Huskies to win this one.
