  • Washington picked up another ranked win, defeating Utah by a score of 35-28.
  • Oregon State pummeled Stanford, winning 62-17, and climbing to 8-2 on the year.
  • These two teams last met on November 4, 2022, in a game that Washington won 24-21.

The college football season is at its peak! Let’s preview the Washington vs Oregon State Pac-12 bout. The Huskies remain out of the top-4, despite their unbeaten record. They’ll aim for another key win.

Preview

Washington remained undefeated with their win over Utah. Despite another ranked victory, the Huskies stayed at #5 in the CFP rankings. It’s a bit peculiar to see. The Huskies currently have ranked wins against #6 Oregon, #17 Arizona, and #22 Utah. Meanwhile, #4 Florida State has just one ranked win against #15 LSU. Regardless, Washington needs to first win this game against Oregon State to have a shot at the CFP.

Oregon State had no trouble against Stanford, winning 62-17, and remaining on the cusp of the top-10. No 2-loss team has ever made the CFP, but the Beavers are in a unique position with their last two games coming against #5 Washington and #6 Oregon. At the very least, they’ll have the ability to play spoiler for their rivals, and earn a chance in an NY6 game. Oregon State will have to be perfect to win both games.

Prediction

Despite being one of college football’s only seven undefeated teams, Washington enters this game as an underdog. Facing #11 Oregon State on the road is an understandable reason, but the Huskies are being underestimated in this matchup. They’ve been one of the most complete teams all season long, and will match up well against Oregon State. I expect this to be a close game, with Washington ultimately winning.
