Carolina dropped to 1-9 after another brutal loss. Bryce Young continues to have an up-and-down rookie year, completing 16 of 29 es for 123 yards, 1 TD, and 1 INT on Sunday. While Young has been by no means bad for a rookie, the instant success of #2 pick C.J. Stroud is creating some noise in Carolina. They might benefit from trusting Young and giving him some more chances to take deep shots down the field.
The Titans have now lost 5 of their last 6 games, falling to 3-7 on the year. Their playoff hopes are all but gone, so Tennessee will now focus on the development of QBs Will Levis and Malik Willis. In Sunday’s loss, Levis played excellent football, completing 13 of 17 es for 158 yards, 2 TDs, and 0 INTs. If Levis is able to continue playing like that, the Titans are some defensive improvements away from returning to the mix.
Prediction
This is a tough game to predict between two teams that have not been winning much lately. One of them will break their losing skid in this game. The Panthers are mathematically due for a win, and have one of their more reasonable matchups here. That being said, the Titans are 3-1 at home, and just got a solid game out of rookie QB Will Levis. I see Tennessee winning this one at home in a pretty competitive game.
