Event Preview
The USA will come into the Women’s World Cup 2023 as the favorites. They have landed victory in each of the previous two editions, and have reached the final in every edition since 2011. Meanwhile, the US has reached at least the semi-final stage in every competition since the formation of the Women’s World Cup. Their preparation has been strong, as the nation has won all seven matches this year, with their only three defeats coming at the end of 2022.
England will be one of the nations that will be a leading contender, as confidence will be high after winning the Women’s European Championships last year. The Lionesses saw their 30-game unbeaten run brought to an end in the recent international break against Australia, but we fully expect them to play a key role throughout the tournament.

Spain is another nation that will be looking to reach its first World Cup final. There is certainly a feeling that they are currently in their golden age of talent after winning the U20 and U17 World Cups last year. However, they were eliminated at the quarterfinal stage of the EUROs last year.
Two nations that could outplay their odds are Brazil and Australia. The latter has recorded wins over Spain and England this calendar year, and will have the added bonus of home advantage throughout the World Cup. Meanwhile, Brazil landed the Copa America last year, and has recorded victories over , Japan, and Canada over the past year.
Prediction
Given that England may have to face Australia, , and Brazil to reach the final, it could be worth siding with the United States. The US has a more favorable route to the final, and at +300, there is good value in siding with the nation as they bid to win a three straight World Cup.
