Match Preview
Shelton is in the Round of 16 after just two wins. His second-round clash against Gaaton Hugo was canceled because of Gaston’s withdrawal. Shelton survived a scare in the first round when he played 5 sets against Lorenzo Sonego.

Alcaraz came to Paris after a win in Rome, and following his triumph in the first round against Zeppieri, 3-0, kinda slowed down. The top favorite at the French Open was better than Maroszan and Damir Dzumhur, though he would drop a set in each event.
Carlos had seven break points converted in 21 chances, but he failed to be more efficient and consistent in certain situations. In the end, Alcaraz had 52 winners, yet 44 unforced errors.
