Match Preview
Jannik smashes his rivals in Paris, and is without a lost set since the tournament started. Despite his doping scandal and the ban, the fans aren’t hostile towards the Italian, who trashed Alexander Bulbik in the quarterfinals, 6-1, 7-5, 6-0.
He had 31 winners and 13 unforced errors, which was, in fact, his biggest advantage over Bulbik, who posted 37 errors. Additionally, Sinner had a 49% return point win rate, which explains his domination.
Djokovic lost the first set against Alexander Zverev here, but later on woke up to roll over the rival 4-6, 6-3, 6-2, 6-4. That opening sequence was the sole set he lost in Paris.
Novak’s return was very good, and he won 65% of Zverev’s second serve. The Serb had 42 winners and 29 unforced errors, and surprisingly, 73% of the net points won.
Sinner vs. Djokovic Head to Head
Novak lost the last four meetings against Sinner. Three of them were in 2024, the year when he used doping which was why he was later on minimally suspended. Overall, it’s 5-5 between these two guys.
Sinner vs. Djokovic Predictions
Jannik is in one hell of a form right now, and even though Djokovic plays well too, we can’t see him stopping the Italian. Our pick here is Sinner -1.5.
